Mental Health Awareness Week

As 2018's Mental Health Awareness Week approaches (14th May-20th May) it aims to tackle stress. Endured stress can affect both your physical and mental wellbeing. Continued strain on your body from routine stress may contribute to serious health problems, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other illnesses, as well as mental disorders like depression or anxiety. Why #Every2ndcounts this May

Over 10 million items are sent to landfill every year. A third of these – up to 3 million – could be given a second chance. It’s what members of the Reuse Network do every day. At Castle Furniture we are part of the Reuse Network. We’re a group of over 200 charities and social enterprises brought together by a collective belief that giving household items and furniture a second chance is better for our customers, our communities, and our environment. We’ve helped over 1.5 million people, saving them almost £500m and helping them to live better. We’ve helped to avoid 125,000 tonnes of C02 polluting the planet We want to celebrate the work that our network of organisations does, and to inspire

Flying the Castle flag at Reuse Network Conference

We are proud to be representing Castle Furniture Project at this year's Reuse Network Conference. Fantastic presentation from our CEO Silv Ingram, on the mental health benefits of a reuse project. Getting Castle's name and the work we do out there to the masses!! It was also good to hear from similar organisations elsewhere in the UK, and see the work they do. Well done to all involved. #ReuseConf18 #EndTheStigma #ItsOkNotToBeOk
