Castle Launches Bulky Uplift Assistance Pilot in Cupar
Castle Furniture Project is pleased to announce the launch of a new Bulky Uplift Assistance Pilot in partnership with Fife Council.
The pilot aims to help residents who struggle to move large household items from their homes to the designated collection point for Fife Council's bulky uplift service.
For some residents, arranging a bulky uplift is only part of the challenge. Getting a heavy sofa, mattress or other large household item to the collection point can be difficult without physical assistance.
Through this pilot, Castle may be able to provide that extra help.
Who can use the service?
The pilot is currently available only to residents in the Cupar pilot area who:
Already receive Fife Council's Assisted Bin Collection service, where their bins are brought to the kerbside.
Have an active bulky uplift booking with Fife Council.
Need physical assistance moving their booked items to the agreed collection point.
How does it work?
Residents must first arrange their bulky uplift directly with Fife Council.
Once their collection is booked, eligible residents can complete Castle's online Bulky Uplift Assistance Request Form.
Castle will review each request and confirm whether assistance can be provided.
Please note that assistance is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Starting Small, Learning Together
This is a pilot service operating in Cupar only. It will allow Castle and Fife Council to understand demand, identify any challenges and assess how the service could develop in the future.
Need Assistance?
If you live in the Cupar pilot area, currently receive Assisted Bin Collections and have booked a bulky uplift with Fife Council, please visit Castle's website to complete an assistance request form.
